In the lab, Scott enjoys counting colonies and plotting complex data. He gets excited talking about bacterial genetics and likes to dream about the microbiology of the future. Outside of the lab, Scott enjoys photography, hiking and being a dad.
Ayesha Ahmed

Ayesha loves learning about bacterial genetics, and is also interested in the effects of drugs, nutrients and bacterial therapies on the microbiome and host immunity. She hopes one day there will be personalized treatments based on our individual microbiota signatures. Ayesha’s other interests include being in nature, doing yoga and listening to classical music.

Sundar is fascinated by the complexity of cellular pathways and likes to read broadly about the latest research developments. At home, he likes watching soccer, eating homemade dumplings (MoMo), cycling and exploring DFW with his daughter.
